Pausing U.S. Shipping After August 17, 2025

Why We’re Pausing U.S. Shipping After August 17, 2025

Updated August 9, 2025

🚨 Important Update for Our U.S. Customers 🚨
As of August 17, 2025, we will be pausing all shipments to the United States. This decision was not made lightly, and we want to be fully transparent about why.

The Policy Change Behind This Decision

On August 29, 2025, recent U.S. regulatory changes will take effect, eliminating the de minimis exemption that has allowed low-value imports (under $800 USD) to enter the U.S. without tariffs or duties. This means all shipments, regardless of value, will be subject to import tariffs or duties upon arrival.

While these charges are the responsibility of the customer, they create significant uncertainty for small businesses like ours. Early indications suggest tariffs may be applied as a flat fee per shipment ($80 - $200 USD), in some cases exceeding the value of the items themselves.

To put this into perspective: our plunge cut bases cost around $40 USD. Under the new policy, you could be charged a flat fee of $80 USD (tariff) - an effective tariff rate of 200% for our products.

Why We Can’t Risk Shipping Under These Conditions

If a U.S. customer refuses a shipment due to unexpected tariffs, the package is typically returned to us - at our expense. Return shipping from the U.S. is extremely expensive, especially for international returns, and these costs are non-refundable. Based on our current volume, this could result is huge costs and administrative work.

For a small business, covering these return label fees for refused packages is simply unsustainable.

We also occasionally ship replacement items when someone accidentally orders the wrong part. While we normally offer free exchanges in most cases, this will not be possible under the new tariff policy.

Our Plan Moving Forward

We are pausing U.S. shipments now to avoid placing both our customers and our business in difficult positions. This pause will remain in effect until:

  1. We have more clarity on how tariffs will be calculated and applied, or

  2. The de minimis exemption is reinstated.

We will monitor the situation closely and update this policy when circumstances make it viable to resume shipping.

A Thank You to Our U.S. Customers

We deeply value the support and loyalty of our U.S. customers over the years. This is not goodbye — it’s simply a pause while we navigate an unpredictable shipping environment.
